Happy New Year

Happy New Year!
As my mom always says, I wish for each of you that your best day last year is your worst day this year!

See I added a new header? :o) I made that from my Snow Much Fun 2 kit. Gee, can you tell I love that kit? lol
The fence is not part of that kit. It is something I made this year to add to a winter kit but that's about as far as I got on that one! I thought it worked well with this kit though so I used it! I made it, I might as well get some use out of it, right?
I don't like how the outline of the header area is around the header on 3 sides. I am not familiar enough with Blogger yet to know how to fit it in that space! Perhaps someone out there can tell me?

One of my resolutions this year is to work more on my genealogy. I have let that slide since getting into scrapbooking but our history, our families, our lives are the very thing we scrapbook about!
I have decided that each day, I am going to pick one name from my massive list and search out what I can on that person. Perhaps by blogging about them as well, maybe someone will find my posts and we will connect our families! That would be cool!
Today, I grabbed George W. Richardson. All the information I have on him is that he was born May 1874 in Campbell County, Tennessee. His father's name is John Houston Richardson and mother's name is Nancy Wilson.
I have him in several federal census' with his family. 1880 (age 6), 1900 (age 26), 1910 (age 36). After that he disappears.
Now, I am assuming the census' are him but I have no solid proof.
I did find a George in the 1920 census today, in Campbell Co., TN, married, with kids, but I have no way of knowing if that is him or not.
I came up empty today. Nothing new to add to his file. If anyone is related to George Richardson, leave me a message!! :o)

My other resolution is to blog more this year as well as scrap more! Well, I am blogging so I guess I covered that for today! lol
I AM working on a new Valentine's kit. I have a "cute" kit I made last year and will have in the stores but I wanted a more "adult" kit this year. So far, it is looking "HOT"! Kind of a "naughty but nice" kit. Something you can scrap adult Valentine photos with and no, I do not mean sex photos! lol Just sometimes, you don't want to scrap a photo of a dinner with your sweety on pink and red heart paper, you know? You just want something a bit more....well....adult! I think this kit will fit that bill! I added a small preview but it goes to the top I guess so look up above!

Well, I guess that's all for today!
Have a great Wednesday!
